What are the solutions to our traffic problems? Where does our waste water go? In this project-based course, students will explore four strands of inquiry: Zoning and Topography; Traffic and Roads; Water and Waste; and Power and Sustainability. This course includes site-based research throughout Honolulu, as well as hands-on simulations through Sim City software, and other design tools including a CNC architectural-model fabricator. Further, students will learn a variety of writing and presentation skills, alongside urban planning and management.
This course is for students entering grades 5 & 6 and will meet from 8:00 - 12:00.
